How to setup your help center in Solevato, customer support platform

Step 1 – Create a New Help Center Portal

A) Create Portal: Click Create Portal, then enter a Name and a Slug. For example, “Solevato Help Center Demo” and help-center-demo-2.

Click Create, and Solevato will automatically create the new portal, showing a toast notification confirming success

B) Navigate to Help Center: In the Solevato dashboard sidebar, click Help Center. If no portal exists, you’ll see a prompt to create one.


Next, you should fill in the following details:

Page Title: Controls the browser tab title for SEO; match this to the portal name
Home Page Link: Specify your main website URL so users can return easily.
Brand Color: Select a hex code for your accent color. I chose a Solevato purple#5814D8, which immediately reflected in the portal’s header and buttons
Slug: You can edit the slug later to change the portal URL; keep it short and descriptive. recommended to be your brand name.
Custom Domain: If you prefer a branded subdomain (e.g. support.yourdomain.com), configure it here.

After filling out all these information, click save changes.

Visiting the live portal shows the updated name, tagline and color scheme




Step 2 – Add Categories
Categories organize your articles, and they only appear once they contain at least one published article.

A) Navigate to Help Center → Go to Categories and click New Category.
B) Enter a Name, Slug and short Description. For example, creating a category called Getting Started, with slug getting-started and description “Quick guides to help new users onboard”
C) Click Create. The category now appears in the admin panel with 0 articles, ready for content



Step 3 – Create Articles
A) Go to Help Center → Articles and click New Article.
B) Title & Body: Add a title and rich text. For example, write an article titled ‘Getting Started with Solevato‘ explaining the basics

C) Assign Category: Select your category (e.g. Getting Started).
D) SEO Properties: Click + More properties to define Meta Description, Meta Title, and Meta Tags. These help search engines index your article. I wrote a concise description, set a meta title, and added tags such as “Solevato guide” and “getting started”.


E) Publish: Click Publish. A toast notification confirms that the article has been published successfully.

Step 4 – Verify Your Help Center
Open your portal URL (e.g. https://app.solevato.com/hc/help-center-demo-2/en). You’ll see your customized header, search bar and category list. Once at least one article is published, the category becomes visible and displays its articles.


Clicking the article opens the full content with breadcrumbs and the last updated date
